Biography
Susanna Blackwell was the wife of William Lunsford, Esquire, born in England, a son of Sir Thomas Lunsford, knight baronet and his second wife, Catherine Neville, daughter of Sir Henry Neville. William came with his father to Virginia, in 1650 and is named on the manifest of 65 people, who traveled with him, and mentioned in the land grant dated October 4, 1640, for 3,423 acres. "lying upon a Bay on the south side of Rappahannock river." [1]
