Research Notes

There was a very close relationship between the family of Joseph Blackwell Jr and the family of William Pickett.

William's brother Martin married Ann (Blackwell) Pickett (abt.1747-abt.1800). She had a sister, Lucy, but there are no sources found yet that substantiate that this Lucy was Ann's sister. It could have been a cousin. More research is needed, as well as a source for the Lucy that William is said to have married.

Glad you looked further into dates of children than I did! Thanks.
Blackwell-479 and Blackwell-1332 do not represent the same person because: Different spouses & children. Children b. in same general time span which seems to negate the probability (or even possibility) that one spouse was husband #1 who either died, divorced or just disappeared - & she then married husband #2. In my humble opinion, the only basis for a merge would be if there was a bigamous relationship where she was having children by two different spouses. Birth dates of children appear to negate this possibility. [email address removed]
