- Abstract of the will of Thomas Blackwell
Written 5 OCT 1700 I give to Mary Rockhold fifteen pounds sterling. I give to John Dorsey, son to my wife, Sarah Blackwell, all lands and tenements to him and his heirs forever. It is my will that what money or tobacco is coming for any of the said land above mentioned shall be paid of my personal estate. I appoint my loving wife, Sarah Blackwell my whole executrix, and I give to Sarah Blackwell the remainder of my personal estate In case my wife Sarah Blackwell should marry then the said Sarah ..(unreadable) of the said personal estate unto her son son, John Dorsey and his heirs, but if also said John Dorsey should die . . .
