Various merged profiles, which seem to agree that he died in 1830, have provided an undocumented birth year of 1732, 1737, and 1747.

correction to will in 2nd paragraph;
"Written by Grace Edwards, R.#1 Hillsboro, IL 62049 Jewell Dohler, R.#1 Irving, IL 62051 Ruth Bishop, 811 E. Clark, Litchfield, IL. 62056 It was linked to William Blackwood Jr., via AOL message from Roger Crouse. He said that a will left by William Blackwell Jr. in 1829 Orange Co. NC, lists daughters Hannah Selph, Elisabeth Allen, Mary Craig, Martha Craig, Jane McCauly, Ann Potts, Margaret Long, Sarah Gates, Nancy, Katharine, and Fannie Shall. Sons John, James, Johnston and William. married last names of Nancy and Fannie are different on the two sources. Ann Potts does not show up at all on Blackwood and Craig Family reunion paper. Isabel and Frank are on paper but not on Will."
