What is the evidence that John and Beatrix were this David's parents?

We show a birth date of 1550 for father John, so around 68 at the time of David's birth; and 1560 for mother Beatrix, so 58 when David was born. Can this be correct?

You have him connected to a family from, and born in, Ayrshire, Scotland, yet everything in the biography says he was from Ireland. It seems you perhaps have him connected to the wrong family and a wrong birth location...
The parentage of David Blair of Aghadowey in County Coleraine, Ireland, is unknown. There is no evidence that he was a son of John Blair of that Ilk, which in any case would have been highly unusual for a simple Scots-Irish farmer in Ulster like David Blair.

Note also that S W below says David Blair was born at a place supposedly called Migerholm in Ayrshire, rather than on the Blair estate.

Finally, and most importantly, if David were really a son of John Blair of that Ilk, then that means David, born 1603 or c.1618, should have succeeded as Laird of that Ilk rather than John Blair's eldest surviving son William, who wasn't even born until after 1638.

For these reasons, David Blair should be disconnected from his alleged parents.

Blair-1072 and Blair-1045 do not represent the same person because: I believe they are father and son as linked in "The Blair Family in New England" by Emily Leavitt

Blair-1072 and Blair-1045 appear to represent the same person because: Re-proposing this merge. It's been sitting in the 'Unmerged Match' bucket for 8 months.

Name, places, and dates are close. Blair-1045 lists sons Abraham and James, although Abraham is not listed in a tree entry as his son.

Uncertain as to wife Hannah; would be nice to get some sourcing on this.
