Jacob Blair found in 1820 Russell County, VA census for Lebanon Town. ^[1]

Also found on 1830 census. ^[2]

And 1840 census, as well as a Jacob Blair Jr. ^[3]

A Jacob Blair and his wife Margaret are found on the 1850 census for Russell County. Jacob was 83 years old and born in PA (on the Big Laling?), his wife was 78 her birthplace unknown. Jacob would have been born in 1767 if his age is correct. ^[4]

JACOB CAME TO RUSSEL CO., VA WITH HIS BROTHER JOHN TO FIND WIVES FOR THEMSELVES. JACOB MARRIED MARGRET WALKER AND HAD THE FOLLOWING CHILDREN; ELIZABETH, WILLIAM, JACOB III, BENJAMIN, SARAH JANE, NANCY AND MARGRET. JOHN STAYED LONG ENOUGH TO HELP HIS BROTHER JACOB BUILD A CABIN AND PLOW A FIELD. HE THEN MIGRATED TWO COUNTIES WEST AND SETTLED IN A FURTILE VALLEY CALLED POWELLS VALLEY IN LEE CO., VA^[5]
