Biography

Mahala was the daughter of James Blair and Mary Elizabeth Powell. She married Larkin Holt on 4 April 1805 in Franklin County, Georgia. She was the mother of ten children: six sons and four daughters. Mahala is a generic Native American word meaning "woman". It is unclear if she had any Native American blood.
