Came from Antrim County Ireland to U.S. in 1802. Sailed from Belfast Ireland to Philadelphia PA on the ship "Philadelphia"

Recorded as one of the first settlers in Crawford County

Hugh Blair and his family came to the Crawford County from Northern Ireland in 1802. His father's family had left Scotland for Ireland (where Hugh was born) to escape religious persecution.

Hugh was twice married - once to Elizabeth McClurkin and second to Jane Thompson (whom he married in Ireland).
