Biography

John was born in 1682. He was the son of James Blair and Rachel Boyd. He passed away in 1769.

This profile is meant to describe John Blair, the father of Alexander Blair. Alexander is found in the attached .pdf but according to that .pdf it doesn't appear that Alexander's father was John born 1688. It also appears that Elizabeth Cochrane was wife of a John, descendant of that immigrant, not the immigrant himself.

A John Blair born 1682, or even a father of Alexander, born 1716 is unlikey the father of those born so recent as 1740. Therefor a new profile Blair-12840 was generated for father of Thomas Blair and grandson of John Blair (namesake of Blair Co. PA.)

The death date and place is taken from the will of John Blair of Fannett twp and is therefore inaccurate. The children of John shown here, except Alexander, are likely artifacts from guessing ages of the children of John Blair of Fannett twp.

The location of a James matches that of likely son John.

I don't think John Blair could have had two wives named Elizabeth Cochran (Cochran-3409 and Cochran 124) do you, but they don't look identical enough to say that they are the same person. That's going to be a bit of a problem to sort out I imagine.
Blair-309 and Blair-2762 appear to represent the same person because: These are clearly the same person and are the result of duplication of Rachel Boyd Blair (Mother). The two Rachel's have already been merged.
