Biography

Israel Blake Jr was born about 1766 and in 1790 he lived in Thornton, New Hampshire. [1]

Israel Blake married Rachel Tindy.

He died May 1, 1839 and is buried at Blake Cemetery in Stinson Lake, Grafton County, New Hampshire. [2]

The Free Baptist Cyclopedia - B [3] includes the following information:

Reverend Israel Blake, of Ellsworth New Hampshire, died May 1, 1839 in his 74th year. He was born in 1765 and ordained in the Sandwich Q. M. in 1800. Here he resided for forty years.
The year 1811 marked a revival for his church, in 1824 the church was revived and and enlarged. in 1833 twenty-seven members were added by baptism.
Rev. Thomas Perkins preached the funeral sermon for Bro. Blake who died May 1, 1839 with glorious hope for blessed immortality.
