William Newton /Blake/^[1] was born 27 JUL 1798 in Greenwood, South Carolina, USA^[2] He married Elizabeth Wier and lived with her in Abbeville SC. He died 01 JUN 1875 and was buried in Greenwood, South Carolina, USA^[3]

Slaves

In 1838 W N Blake bought an enslaved person named Drucilla from the estate of Smith Roman.

W N Blake bought an enslaved person named David from the estate of his father in law, Thomas Wier in 1851. Additionally the 1850 slave schedule shows that he owned 28 enslaved people^[4].
