Biography

Jasper Blake was baptized at St. Mary the Virgin Church, Wimbotsham, Norfolk, England on the 27th of September, 1592. [1]He was serving as Churchwarden of St. Mary's in 1612. His signature appears on a baptismal record in September of that year.[2]He married Frances Godbould in June of 1614.[3] They had the following children: Millicent, Elizabeth, Jasper III, Philemon, and Bridget. Jasper leased the Manor of Tonwells for 15 years on October 3, 1616. [4] Another Indenture of Feoffment recorded 26 September, 1620[5]In 1623, Jasper and Frances sold the Manor of Tonwells to Roger Pratt, Esq. [6]who was the husband of his sister, Beatrix.

At the time of the Indenture of 26 September, 1620, Jasper and Frances were living in Riston, Norfolk. it is assumed he died there. No record of the place or date of death has been found to date.

NOTE: His son Jasper was the emigrant to New Hampshire.

Blake-418 was married to Deborah Everard, not this Jasper who was the father of Jasper who emigrated to Hampton. NH.
