Archibald McTaggart Blake was born in Greenock to Arthur Albert Blake and Helen Paton. He married Margaret (surname unknown) and they had three children: Arthur Blake and two daughters. [1]. Archibald emigrated to Newark, New Jersey in the United States by 1921, where he was an engineer. He married Margaret Patrick in 1924 in Manhattan.
