Jane Blake was born in 1801 in Isle of Wight, England.^[1]

She married John J Elliott.^[1]

She appeared on the census of 12 July 1850 at Greene, Chenango County, New York.^[2]

She is in the 1855 census twice. She appeared on the census of 1 June 1855, in the home of her daughter, Charlotte Rideout (Elliott) Hoyt and son-in-law Samuel Gilbert Hoyt, at Walton, Delaware County, New York.^[3]

She appeared on the census of 8 July 1855 at Greene, Chenango, New York.^[4]

She appeared on the census of 17 July 1860 at Binghamton, Broome County, New York.^[5]

She appeared on the census of 5 June 1865, in the home of her daughter, Charlotte Rideout (Elliott) Hoyt and son-in-law Samuel Gilbert Hoyt, at Manhattan, Riley County, Kansas.^[6]

Jane died on 1 Jan. 1869 in Riley County, Kansas and was buried at Sunset Cemetery, Manhattan, Riley County, Kansas. Her memorial has a photo of her headstone and links to those of family members.^[1]
