Private John Blake served with New Hampshire Line during the American Revolution.
John Blake was baptized June 23, 1751, in Hampton, New Hampshire, a son of Thomas Blake and Hannah (Dearborn) Blake. [1]
On November 30, 1775, in Deerfield, New Hampshire, John married Mehitable Locke, a daughter of Moses Locke and Mary (Organ) Locke. The onset of the American Revolutionary War was soon after their marriage, and John enlisted in the military. The details of his service is documented in a sworn affadavit provided by his widow after his death. She testified that he enlisted as a Private in the Company of Captain Marston, of the New Hampshire Line. [2][3]

John Blake, born January 25, 1790, in Loudon, died 1825, married Polly Sanborn, daughter of Zadock Sanborn and Abigail Tilton
Mehitable Blake, born January 25, 1797, in Canterbury, New Hampshire, died September 25, 1866, in Stanstead, Canada, married Jacob Batchelder (1792-1862)
