No adequate documentation has been found for the existence of a woman named Sarah Blake, married to William Worcester.
Rev. William Worcester was indeed married first to a woman named Sarah, but her maiden name is unknown.
Some sources have shown Sarah to be Sarah Brown. Analysis of Sarah Brown's background have shown her to be a fraud concocted by noted genealogical fraudster Gustave Anjou.
Other sources show Sarah to be Sarah Blake, and many of these show her as the daughter of Sarah Brown's parents.
Sarah Blake is given a birthdate of 1600 for indexing purposes; nonexistent persons have no date of birth. One source shows Sarah Blake's birthdate as 23 April 1600 in Buckinghamshire, England[1][2]. The day and month are actually the death date associated with Sarah, wife of William Worcester.
Sarah Blake is shown with a marriage date of 1637 in England. [3]. This would reflect the marriage date of William Worcester's wife, Sarah Unknown.
Similarly, Sarah Blake is shown dying on 23 Apr 1650 at the age of 50 in Salisbury, Essex, Massachusetts, where she is buried. [4]. This also reflects data belonging to Sarah Unknown.
As a non-existent person, Sarah Blake cannot have parents, siblings, spouses or children, so none of these are shown in her data field. Links are provided below for persons often associated with her in these roles:
Another theory on Sarah's name would be that she was born a Brown, and acquited the name Blake prior to her marriage to Worcester. [5] This theory is apparently echoed on another ancestry site: http://www.ancestry.com/genealogy/records/sarah-blake_8726157. Unfortunately, this makes Blakes' biography dependent on the fraudulent biography of Sarah Brown. A Geni site, http://www.geni.com/people/Sarah-Worcester/6000000006444312024, does the same, adding "Sarah Pickering" as an "also known as."
Another theory appears on Geni. In the Geni presentation [6] Sarah Blake (1605-1650) was born to John Pickering, b. 1564, and Susan Dryden Pickering, b. 1574. Susan baptized in 1605, had a brother, John Pickering, and at age 23 married William Worste, who was born 1595 in Cheddington, Buckingham. They had 10 children: Samuel Worste, Susanna Stacy (born Worcester) and 8 other children. Sarah passed away on month day 1650, at age 45 at death place, Massachusetts.
Sarah Blake is also shown as the mother of the following children, who are actually the children of William Worcester and Sarah Unknown.
Other Children not in original list, above.

Thank you in advance.
Thank you in advance.
In August 2013, I sent an e-mail inquiry to both the creator and current administrator of that FindAGrave memorial. I was hoping they might provide some clues to historical references. As well, if you read each closely, you'll see the text of that bio is out of sync with named links. I did not receive a response to my August inquiry.
Have we exchanged notes about the 1996 article, "The Rev. William^1 Worcester of Salisbury, Massachusetts," TAG 71:50-51?
Torrey has the marriage, but with her name therein as "1/wf Sarah _____ (-1650)."
Hoping for clarification; thank you all in advance.--GeneJ
Sources cited here include Torrey, but I find her name therein as "1/wf Sarah _____ (-1650)."
