Miriam (LNAB Blakeslee; Blakeley), the fourth of six children of Daniel Blakeslee and Miriam Hodge was born on 9 June 1738 at New Haven, Connecticut.[1][2]

Miriam wed Joel Thurston, the son of John and Seabury (Stoddard) Thurston on 21 November 1759 at Sharon, Litchfield, Connecticut. the minister was John Williams.[3] They had eleven children born at New York:
