This Rachel, if indeed a Blakely, may be a granddaughter of Robert and Martha, perhaps daughter of their son Robert P. Blakely (born 6 Sep 1789). Since the only link to the name Blakely appears to be from Source: #S82, Page: Database online, which includes the Text: "Record for Eleanor Tweedy" - whose mother was in fact Rachel (Blakely) Tweedy, it seems possible that this Rachel Tweedy may not have been a born Blakely, at all. Careful examination of the census records cited as sources in the original profile suggests that her maiden name may have been Rachel Ann Owen.

• In the 1880 census, a "Rachel Tweedy" (age 65 - born ca 1815) was keeping house as the wife of James Tweedy in Lagro Township, Wabash, Indiana.^[6] The census records her husband James Tweedy (71, born ca. 1809 in North Carolina, both parents born in North Carolina). Note that this census record is also associated with Rachel Ann OWEN FamilySearch Person: K67V-KC3, and that other Owen households are recorded on the same page. e.g.: (234) Edwin and Martha Owen, both 60, both (like Rachel) born in Indiana with both parents born in N.C.; (233) Jesse Owen (34) with wife Annie and their children.

A "Rachel Ann Owen" can be found in other records, married to James Tweedy.^[7] In the 1850 census Rachel (age 32, born ca 1818) was living with James Tweedy (35) in Lagro, Wabash, Indiana, United States.^[8] Their children, all born in Indiana, were Mary J Tweedy (10), Maria E Tweedy (7), John F Tweedy (7), Marth J Tweedy (5), Nancy A Tweedy (2) and Albert Tweedy (1 month). A Maria Tweedy (25, born North Carolina, possibly a sister of James) was also included in the household, but could not have been Rachel's child. The ages recorded for this Rachel Tweedy vary considerably from census to census. In the 1860 census Rachael (age 35, born ca 1825) was in La Gro Township, Wabash, Indiana, living with James Tweedy (40).^[9] Mary Tweedy (now 19 instead of 20), Maria (18 instead of expected 17), John (17), Nancy (11, expected 12) Albert (9, expected 10) and Joseph (5) are also listed. In the 1870 census Rach (age 52, born ca 1818) was in Lagro, Wabash, Indianaliniving with James and 20-year-old son "A.F."^[10] A 27-year-old "J" Tweedy was recorded next door, with an 18-year-old "M.E." keeping house and caring for a 1 month-old son "A". The neighbor on the other side was Nath Owen (28) and his family. Other "Owen" families recorded in the same general area support the identification of this "Rachel Tweedy" as Rachel (Owen) Tweedy.
