George Colin Hartlin was born 26 Nov. 1820 at Eastern Passage and bapt. 18 April 1821 at Christ Church, Dartmouth[1]. He removed to Oyster Pond about 1830 and first appeared in the census enumerations there in 1851.
He m. (1) Anne Blakeney, 15 Dec. 1847 at Jeddore (Acadian Recorder, 25 Dec. 1847). She was b. ca. 18__, the daughter of William Blakeney[?], and apparently d. ca. 1856-58.

Peter, b. 24 Nov. 1854, Hartlin Settlement, m. Civilla Arnold.
George, b. ca. 1856, Hartlin Settlement, m. Lavinia Elizabeth Harding.
