Susannah Blakeney was born in 1789.[1] She was the daughter of Revolutionary War veteran John Blakeney and his second wife Nancy May of Chesterfield, South Carolina.
Susannah Blakeney was married to Archibald Laney circa 1807/1808. Their estimated marriage year is based on birth of their eldest child, Mary, who was born in October of 1808. The Laneys made their home in Mecklenburg, North Carolina for many years.[2][3]
The Laneys were living in Union County, North Carolina at the 1850 Census.[4]
