Hi David

Thank you for adding your DNA to WikiTree. Getting the Best from DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.

I hope this helps! If you have any questions or problems, let me know.

Take care

Blanchard-2458 and Blanchard-1549 appear to represent the same person because: David,

Wikitree has a previously entered profile on you, so on the profile you created (Blanchard-2458) I went to the bottom of the page and selected the option “initiate a merge” and entered the previously existing profile's ID (Blanchard-1549). Merge request always start on the highest numbered profile and will be merged into the lowest numbered profile. Since your created profile is basically blank, you should have no problem completing the merge into the one I previously created. I cannot complete the merge, as I am not on the trusted list of both profiles. Questions?

Note: Merges to a higher numbered profile require special instructions, and are done when the last name at birth was misspelled or recorded phonetically on historic documents.

Greetings David,

A Guest Member can become a Wiki Genealogist if they say they want to help grow our worldwide family tree and a current Wiki Genealogist confirms them. This gives them a Family Member account which is then transformed into a Wiki Genealogist account as soon as they sign the Honor Code.

I look forward to assisting you in your endeavors on the WikiTree and collaborating as the opportunities arise.

Sincerely, George Blanchard
