Isaac Gardner (Gardiner) Blanchard was born to Jonathan Blanchard and Betsy Goldthwait 24 June, 1790 in Stoughton Massachusetts.

He lived in or near to Stoughton for most of his life. On the 1850 US census his occupation is listed as a farmer. No occupation is listed in the 1855 Census. 1860 US Census, he his occupation is "Farmer". In the 1865 census, at age 75, he's a farmer. (his son Isaac also lives in Stoughton during this time, but is a boot cutter, an occupation several family members went into).

He married Eunice Beal(s), also of Stoughton, on 4 Mar 1809, in Randolph, Massachusetts.

He died 20 Apr 1868 at the age of 77
