There is no evidence that she was in Acadie. Parents claimed are not proven, and other facts are the paretns are disproven for son Jean. No Jerome Guerin found in Acadie until one born in 1665 to different parents according to MWLandry, Karen Theriot Reader and Stephen White. "The first Blanchard in Acadia was Guillaume Blanchard, who arrived in about 1640 from France with his wife, Huguette Poirier, and their son, Jehan, and daughter, Marie, and her husband, Jerome Guerin. The 1671 census of the colony lists Jehan and Marie as originally having been from La Chausse in old Poitou. Guillaume and Huguette Poirier Blanchard were deceased by the time of this census." [2][3]. Jean Blanchard (married to Radegonde Lambert) mentioned above has been shown NOT to be the son of Guillaume and Hugette. There was no Marie Blanchard on that census.

There is an error in this lineage and people have been trying to correct it several times, but now it looks like again new profiles were created for the mistaken parents or ancestors...please take a look at the info below and all info and posts added to the profiles...
Jean Blanchard is the ancestral patriarch of the Acadian Blanchard family. Jean was born in about 1611 in France. His parents are not known. He is often listed with parents named Guillaume Blanchard and Huguette Poirier, but this is actually false; it is the result of confusion with Jean's son, Guillaume Blanchard, and his wife Huguette Gougeon (aka Poirier).(See discussion here)...
It means Guillaume Blanchard and Huguette Poirier were not the parents of Jean Blanchard, but Guillaume Blanchard was his son and Huguette Gougeon his daughter-in-law. Someone somehow or somewhere figured they were Jean's parents and their dates and places of Birth ect. were changed, but no sources for them..
So the newly created Guillaume and Huguette are just duplicates (again) for the son and daughter-in-law of this Jean Blanchard. Huguette's mother was married twice, her stepfather was named Poirier...so that also caused some confusion ...
I don't think these profiles are ready to be merged, based partly on the husband and children. The birth and death dates do not correspond, but this is a lesser issue. Also the mother's last name is not the same.More research needed...
