Biography

When Hiram Bland was born in 1825, in Kentucky, United States, his father, Osborn Bland Jr., was 45 and his mother, Patsy Donahue, was 41. He married Rachel Bays on 25 December 1834, in Greene, Indiana, United States. They were the parents of at four children. He lived in Richland Township, Greene, Indiana, United States in 1850. He died on 13 June 1851, in Greene, Indiana, United States, at the age of 26 and is buried in Conder Cemetery, Greene County, Indiana. He was "the only man in Greene, Indiana legally hanged in Greene co, Indiana" for the murder of his brother-in-law William Walker. He killed his brother-in-law for beating his sister.
