Biography

Thomas was born in 1917. He was the son of Charles Bland and Nellie Beare. He passed away in 1974.

• WW2: Enlisted in the Royal Australian Navy (Service Number 22801) on 1 Feb 1939 at Albert Park South Australia. Home port Melbourne Victoria. Next of kin wife Carmel. A leading Cook (TY,S) he was posted aboard HMAS "ALBATROSS" and was discharged 31 Jan 1951. [1]

• He wed Carmel Ellen McGuire 20 Dec 1947 St. Mary's Church Port Adelaide South Australia. Ellen (living, at the time this entry was made) was the daughter of Thomas Patrick McGuire and Gertrude Ellen SWEENEY and was born 2 Apr 1927 Alberton South Australia.
