Obituary (transcribed as published)

BLANKENSHIP - Edward was born in Sumner co, Tenn, 9 Nov 1836. His parents emigrated to Illinois and settled in Fayette co, when he was perhaps 8 or 9 years old. Soon afterward he was left an orphan. He joined the MECS in Illinois and was baptised at his special request... On the 25th he calmly fell asleep in Jesus. On the 26th he was buried with Masonic honors. He leaves a wife and 2 small children.
