Research Notes
Disputed Parents
Removed Anne (Jennings) Bledsoe as daughter of Edmund Jennings and Margaret (Barkham) Jennings in October 2022. This profile for Anne "Jennings", who is married to George Bledsoe, has no source for Anne's LNAB, birth, parents or marriage to George. More research is needed before we can connect Anne ____ Bledsoe as a daughter of Edmund Jennings and Margaret Barkham. Do we even have any proof that George married a woman named Anne??
Other discrepancies/notes:
1 This Anne is indicated as having been born in colonial Virginia - she could not have been the daughter of Edmund and Margaret simply because they never immigrated to Virginia.
2 Douglas Richardson, Magna Carta Ancestry, does have a daughter named Anne for Edmund and Margaret however she is not indicated as being born or having immigrated to Virginia. Nor is she shown by Richardson to be married to George Bledsoe.[3][4]
3 Anne is NOT the daughter of Col Edmund Jennings (son of Edmund and Margaret Jennings) and his spouse Frances Corbin. Col Edmund Jennings and Frances did have a daughter named Anne, but she died in infancy in 1691.
If it is determined that this Anne was NOT a wife of George Bledsoe, the marriage should be removed and parents re-attached.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Anne by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Anne:
I reviewed the source that states: 1 Anne, d.10 May 1691, bur. at All Saints', Tottenham, M I. (York. County Mag., 311). This does not prove place of death only place of burial. It also lines up pretty close to the time of death of the Anne represented in this profile. Can someone please find more sources on this Anne to prove one way or another?
There seems to be a plethora of Profile Managers for Dear Anne...If no objection from them in seven days I will attempt to disconnect her from The MP and wife.
Why is she still connected to the MP? Vis. of York (1665), records burial for Anne, d/o Jennings & Barkham. Vis. of York (1665) & Plantagenet Ancestry (2011), do not docunment any marriage for that couple's dau.
Anne (d. 10 May 1691 bur. All Saints, Tottenham; MI Yorkshire), d/o Sir Edmund Jennings & Margaret Barkham.
"Jennings of Ripon," in Dugdale's Vis. of York, p. 201 Archive.org. eBook.
I take issue with the statement under "Birth" in the Bio section and the source [4] as it references a site that states an opinion that talks about sources and burial locations without sharing the actual sources of those claims. Were is the source that proves this Anne was born in Virginia?
so most of Ann's Kin and for this disputed Colonist not to have been here is just silly, but here she is sister to 4, that did come. I can find 4 maybe all, that migrated to the colony? So why are at least four of her sister's and brothers here in the colony at the same time when she couldn't possibly be there?
Jennings-339 these are her sisters and brothers. and others like uncles came to it looks like. You find out how they got there and you will find her too.
I have been trying to confirm Anne's descent from Edmund Jennings, so have followed these comments with interest. I don't think it would have been possible for Anne to be the daughter of Col Edmund Jennings and his wife Frances Corbin, as suggested below. Edmund and Frances were married in 1688, yet William Bledsoe, the son of Anne and George Bledsoe, was born in 1676, ten years earlier.
I think that two Anne Jennings have been confused. Edmund and Margaret did have a daughter named Anne but there is no evidence she was ever in Virginia. They also had several sons, one of whom was Col Edmund Jennings, acting Governor of Virginia 1706-10. He and his wife Frances Corbin had two sons and three daughters. One of those daughters was named Anne. It may be that this is the Anne referenced. I am researching this further.
Parish records for Anne can be found at The Historical and Antiquities of Tottenham High Parish look it up I'm unsure if Anne got Married ..but these records may help in clearing up confusion .. between Johanna Owens or Anne Jennings or Anne Bledsoe being daughter of Edmund Jennings
Joanna (Jennings) Owen (Jennings-2273) can be ruled out as belong to this Jennings line. She was the daughter of Captain John Jennings (Jennings-318) and the DNA of their descendants does not match the DNA of any Bledsoe descendants or descendants of Edmond Jennings (Jennings-1601). Documentary evidence also rules out any connection between Joanna and George Bledsoe or between Joanna and Edmond Jennings.
Jenings-3 and Jennings-339 appear to represent the same person because: Same parents. Roughly same dates of birth and death. Please correct LNAB for Jenings-3 and then consider merging.
