Sarah Bledsoe was born on May 31, 1786 in Culpeper, Virginia, United States, daughter of James Bledsoe (1751–1799) and Judith Ward (1764–1847).[1] Sarah (15) married John Tandy (23) (born on September 21, 1777 in Fluvanna, Virginia; son of John Tandy Sr and Judith (Martin) Tandy) on June 3, 1801 in Elkhorn Creek, Franklin, Kentucky. Their daughter was Sarah Jane Tandy (1814–1862). In 1850, Sarah was living in District 1, Carroll, Kentucky CONT. [2][3][4] In 1860, Sarah was living in Ghent, Carroll, Kentucky, United States CONT. [2][3][4] Sarah died on August 19, 1860 in Gallatin, Kentucky, aged 74. She was buried in Tandy Cemetery, Carroll County, Kentucky.[1]
