I am Thomas Bledsoe's great grandson, also named Thomas. My middle name is Alexander, named after his wife Edmonia Page's mother. I assumed, and might be the reason, that my he had a middle name of Appleberry, after his mother Mahala Appleberry. I had this on my Rootsweb page and I think it got picked up in Wikitree, understandably. It made sense. But I came across an old story in the Staunton newspaper upon his sudden death which was a memorial statement from his employer - the National Valley Bank where he was the cashier for many years - which cited his full name as Thomas Abraham Bledsoe. I was surprised. But that name also makes sense given how many Abraham's were in his father's family as well as in the family of his mother Appleberry. I have never seen any other references to his middle name; only this one in the newspaper by his employer. So I think that one is right and Appleberry wrong.
