DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Mary by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Mary:
"A3-Mary b. Concord July 12, 1640 d. Concord of the "distemper" during winter of 1717/18." This entry is from Harris, Roger Deane, The Story of the Bloods, G.K. Hall & Co., Sanbornville, New Hampshire, United States: 1960, p.143, at The Internet Archive, https://archive.org/details/storyofbloodsinc00unse
I put a lot of faith in Harris because every single time I've checked him against original documents he's been spot on. Haven't caught him in an error yet.
The other is Ancestry.com's "Massachusetts Town Death Records" database, done by the New England Historic Genealogical Society from various MA town books. It gives a more specific date of Feb 1718, which I've seen other places (can't recall now where) and which also falls within the "winter of 1717/18," so the two sources are reasonably consistent. https://www.ancestry.com/search/collections/4080/
"Mary Davis, the wife of Samuel ser, dyed October ye 30 day 1710."
Mary Blood, wife of Simon Davis, died in the winter of 1717/8, with Feb 1718 the most oft-quoted month.
