• Was WIFE Mary Bacon a sister to Thomas Bacon of Winston who was married to Anne Anne (Blomfield) Bacon. Comment: It's shown that way at FamilySearch but totally undocumented, as usual. Also, Visitation of Suffolk 1561 does not show Bacon family of Winston. Rob Judd 21 May 2023
• According to recent transcription of SRO fiche 01 by Susan Law at FreeREG the wife may be Mary Baker. I have queried this but it looks very likely. It seems Phillimore may have been in error on this one.
