No valid first name has been found for this son of Puritan Deacon Thomas Blossom, Sr., and Ann Blossom.[1] Most family genealogies state he was born ca. 1619 and died as an infant after 1620.
December 25, 1625 -- Thomas Blossom, Sr., b. 1568 in Little Shelton, Cambridge, England and Deacon of the English (Puritan) Church in Leiden, South Holland, United Provinces of the Netherlands, wrote a letter to Plymouth Colony Governor William Bradford, mentioning that his son, unnamed, who had been with his parents aboard the "Speedwell" in 1620[2] had died, leaving Thomas and Ann Blossom with just two children who had been born at Leiden, South Holland, United Provinces of the Netherlands, to sail with them on the Mayflower's 2nd voyage to America in 1629. ↑ An English ship that had accompanied the Mayflower from Holland to England in 1620 and then was bound for New England but had to abort and return to England as it proved unseaworthy shortly after leaving shore. The Blossoms returned to Holland as a result.
