Sir Walter Blount was born about 1270 at Sodington and the Rock, Worcester, England, second son of William Blount and Isabel Beauchamp of Hatch.
He married Joanna de Sodington, daughter of Ralph de Sodington, circa 1294.[1][2]. From this marriage he had 3 sons and one daughter:
He took posession of Hampton Lovett, Timberlak Baytm, and other manotrs, when his brother, Peter, died without issue in 1320. Sir Walter Blount died in 1322.
Tudor Place says that he first married Eleanor Beauchamp, but it appears from other sources that it was his son, John, who married Eleanor, second daughter of John Beauchamp of Hatch, Somerset. Note: This statement is in error - his son John did not marry Eleanor Beauchamp.
