WILLIAM LE BLOUNT, Knight, of Sodington, Worcestershire, Under-Sheriff of Lancaster (1336-7),[1] Lord Blount, was born circa 1295.[2] He was the son of Walter le Blount, Knight, of Rock, Worcestershire, by his second wife, Joan, daughter of Ralph de Sodington.[1]
He married before 20 Feb 1327 to Margery de Verdun, daughter of Theobald de Verdun, Knight, 2nd Lord Verdun, and Maud de Mortimer and they had no surviving issue.[1][2][3]
He was summoned to Parliament from 25 Jan 1329/30 to 14 Jan 1336/7, by which summonses he may have become Lord Blount.[1]
Sir William le Blount, Lord Blount, was murdered before 3 Oct 1337 at Liverpool, Lancashire.[1][2][3]
