Biography

Elizabeth Borman was baptized November 26, 1609 at Banbury, the daughter of Christopher Boreman and Julian Carter.[1][2] The Boremans likely moved back to Claydon about 1619, when Julian's father Felix died.[3]

On February 5, 1641/2, Elizabeth's mother Julian wrote a letter to Samuel Boreman in Massachuetts, saying that his "Five Sisters are all alive & in good health".[4]

At some point Elizabeth married J. Middleton of London. They were living on St. John's street in London on May 2, 1661, when Elizabeth wrote a letter to her brother. This letter was found in Wethersfield, Connecticut, and in all likelihood was addressed to her brother Samuel who was living there at that time. A transcription and photo of this letter appears in Goldthwaite's Boardman Genealogy. It is retranscribed here:[5]
