Biography
Carrie (Bobbitt) Dockery was born in Kentucky.
Carrie Lee Bobbitt was born 18 June 1884 in Kelly, Christian, Kentucky, United States.[1][2] She was the daughter of Emsley W. Bobbitt and Nancy McCord.[2] In the 1900 U.S. census, she was recorded as "Carrie L. Bobbett", age 16, living in Bainbridge, Chistian, Kentucky, with her mother Nancy and siblings.[1] Her father Emsley passed away in 1896.
"Carrie Lee Bobbett" was married 15 October 1902 in Hopkinsville, Christian, Kentucky to Daniel William Dockery.[3] They were the parents of four daughters and two sons. Somewhere, along the way, the family started using the name "Dockrey".
Carrie Lee (Bobbitt) Dockrey, age 91, died 4 November 1975 at Brown's Rest Home in Madisonville, Hopkins, Kentucky, and was buried at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.[2][4]
