Notes

The present Newmarket Public Library building located at 438 Park Avenue was opened on Saturday June 9, 1956. A bequest by the late Edgar Bogart contributed greatly to the fundraising that was needed for the construction of the site. This undated front elevation of the library is signed DUTHIE and likely dates to the early 1950s.
