Elsie Jane Boggs was born in Lawrence County, Ohio, February 3, 1862. She passed into the life beyond from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry Lenhard, in Fairmont, Neb., April 16, 1930, aged 68 years, two months and 13 days. She came to Nebraska with her parents when about four years of age and lived with them near St. Deroin, until she was eighteen years of age. She was married June 6, 1880, to Wilson Lowe, who preceded her in death, May 16, 1924. Since that time she has lived with her children. To this union seven children were given, four boys and three girls, two of whom, Charles Frederick and Mrs. Jennie Jorn, preceded their parents in death. Those who remain are Ole A. of Falls City; Anthony O. of Fairmont; Charley E. of Geneva; Mrs. Ona Lenhard and Mrs. Ollie Kelch of Fairmont. There are twenty-six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two step grandchildren. Three sisters, Mrs. Mary Spickler of Omaha, Mrs. Alice Robinson of Denver, Mrs. Josephine Kelso of Falls City; and two brothers, A. B. Boggs of Gering, Neb., and V. A. Boggs of Ft. Calhoun, Neb., also survive. Soon after her marriage, she united with the Evangelical Church at Barada, Neb., of which she remained a faithful member until death called her home. She was a kind neighbor, a devoted wife and a loving mother, always thinking of the welfare of her children. She trusted in God for the present life and for the life to come, and now she has entered into rest.
