Biography

He was born on 04 Nov 1872 in Manchester, Clay County, Kentucky, USA and was the son of Barbara Ellen (Young, 1834–1918) and Isaac Boggs (1841–1921).

Levi Boggs married on 02 Sep 1905 in Appalachia, Wise County, Virginia, USA to Laura Hathie Parsons ^[1] (1883–1960), daughter of Sarah "Sally" (Cress) and James Parsons.

He died on 18 Sep 1956 and was buried at Robbins Chapel Cemetery, Keokee, Lee County, Virginia, USA. ^[2]

Levi Boggs, 91, of Robbins Chapel, died at his home Tuesday after a long illness., he was a retired miner and lifelong residents of Lee County. Surviving are ...

his widow, Mrs. Laura (Parsons) Boggs;

one daughter, Mrs. Clifford (Mossie) Mooney, Robbins Chapel;

three sons, Troy and Finley Boggs of Lebanon, Indiana, and Earnest Boggs of Big Stone Gap, Virginia

and one sister, Mrs. Rachel Ashley, Appalachia of Virginia.

Funeral service will be held at 1:30. This afternoon (Thursday) from Robbins Chapel Church, with the Rev. Floyd Haun officiating, burial will be in Robbins Chapel Cemetery. Copeland Funeral home in charge of arrangements.
