The widow Elizabeth Boggs McKee then married a man, surname Baxter, sometime around 1845. I have yet to locate this family in the 1850 census, and Elizabeth Baxter seems to show up as a widow again in the 1860 census, with 2 children, a daughter Sarah and son Jackson. Jackson Baxter, often enumerated simply as "J. B. Baxter", appears in later census in Hutchinson, Reno Co., Kansas. "Jackson B. Baxter" also has a affidavit in the Civil War pension file for his half-brother David Boggs McKee (and wife Cora)
