If you like browsing ancient documents offline (I do) here is a link for a source mentioning Margaret de Bohun on page 242. Is this the same person as on this Profile Bohun-60? It says that "Hugh de Courtenay, second Earl of Devon, bears the uncharged azure label, as it had been borne by his father ; he married Margaret de Bohun, granddaughter of Edward I."

It doesn’t appear so, having said that there were a huge number of children and grandchildren. I think Bohun-2 is the one you are looking for. I love looking through old books too. The writer of this one is Boutell-49 whose profile could use some polishing if you are looking for a new project. 😄 Researching the author will also give you a good idea of how meticulous his research was.

Thanks Mike, I will keep Boutell-49 in mind for my next project, but I am working on another family at the moment. While I was searching for info for that family, (Wentworth-2095) I came across the Margaret de Bohun link, (quite unrelated) and since I am not one to pass a source by, without sharing it, I digressed to send the link and query about Margaret de Bohun. There is no rhyme or reason why I should look at the name de Bohun except the name was somehow familiar. I must have seen it somewhere in my WT travels.

Thanks for your answer.

I've saved the link to that heraldry book

This is the Margaret Bohun who married Hugh de Courtenay.

Bohun-81 and Bohun-60 appear to represent the same person because: Hi, Gene! Let's start again. Go ahead and complete the merge.

Lynden

Bohun-60 and Bohun-81 are not ready to be merged because: Hi! I have reservations regarding a merge between these two profiles. True, the similarity in names, but one has. OK data at all. The other similarity is they are from the same download, the same gedcom, date, and person doing the import. This is an indicator (at least to me) that these two may be related, but not necessarily the same person. That is why I have chosen an unmerged match.

Sincerely, Lynden Raber Rodriguez

Bohun-60 and Bohun-81 appear to represent the same person because: same name, same time frame, mine is a barren profile, taking up space. thanks
Hi Gene,

I see you have no sources for Margaret's marriage to Ranulf.

I've found no reliable source for it so I'd like to remove the marriage unless you have a valid source?
