I haven't located marriage record. Samuel R. Oglesby's wife Nancy died Sep 1853.
Oregon State Archives does not have it and says to contact Marion County Clerk directly.
my opinion 1853 prob 1855 maybe handwriting? First child b 1856; Sam's wife died Sep 1853; did Sam have babies or very small children?

I looked at every digitized marriage record in the Marion County Records for 1853 and 1854, and I did not find their marriage recorded. I am not sure this means much because they were written on individual slips of paper, making them hard to track. They might have been organized by pastor's name, but it's hard to tell. The records certainly weren't organized by name of groom, bride, or date of marriage.
If you want to doublecheck, start here, and work backwards. This is the last record for 1854 as of 16 Nov 2023.

Hi Jackie,

I'm a Data Doctor and related to the Bonneys, so I took a little more time with this profile. The little tag errors are all cleaned up, but I also did a little more organizing. If you hate what I've done, you can reverse it under "Changes."

Best,

Claire
