James was the son of Thomas Bonney and Mary Hunt. He was born about 1672; and married Abigail Bishop, the daughter of James Bishop, in Duxbury on 12 June 1695. After 1714 he married Desire Billington. He passed away at Pembroke, Massachusetts, on 24 January 1723/24.[1]
Probate
He died intestate and on 25 February 1723, his son James was granted the letter of administration for this estate.[2]
His inventory was taken on 11 and 12 March 1723/24 in Pembroke.[3]
His estate was not settled, and in 1728, his son Elisha was granted the administration of his estate. {At this time, his son Elisha was also granted administration to his brother James who died intestate. [5] His son James' estate inventory was taken on 17 March 1728/29 in Pembroke.[6] His brother estate was deemed insolvent.[7]}
