Joseph was the eighth child of Thomas Bonney and his wife Mary (Hunt) Bonney. He was born in Duxbury, Duxborrough, Massachusetts Bay Colony, being the first generation of Bonneys born in this country.
Joseph married Margaret Phillips in 1707.[1] They had four children: Mary, Ezekiel, Nathaniel, and Margaret.[2]
He is listed in an undated record entitled, Mayflower Deeds.[3]
He died intestate in Pembroke, Massachusetts Bay Colony in early 1720, as witnessed by his probate records (quoted in full in the source), dated 8 Apr 1720.[2][4]
In 1720, the account mentions the debts paid and other charges, including boarding two of the children for two years.[5]
