John was the son and heir of Thomas Bonville and Joan Poynings.[1] He was born at Basing on 4 April 1413 and baptised in the parish church of that vill the same day.[2]
He married Katherine Wingfield, daughter of Sir Robert Wingfield and Elizabeth Goushill, circa 1470 at of Shute, Devonshire, England.[3][4]
John Bonville, Esq. died on 24 August 1494 at of Halnaker, Sussex, England, at age 81. [5][6]
