Following the death of Robert Booker in 1695/6,^[1] she married Robert Rechester in 1698 at the Third Haven Friends Meeting House, Talbot County, Maryland.^[2]

Dower Rights

In 1714, Mary Register appealed to the Third Haven Friends Men's Meeting for assistance in asserting her dower rights to the portion of her son, Robert's inheritance after his death. At the initial meeting where she made this request, it was agreed that his widow, Ellenor would pay Mary 500 pounds of tobacco or equivalent in other goods; several meeting members were appointed to investigate further. At their return at the next meeting, they confirmed that her rights were now under the control of Evan Pearse, whom her daughter-in-law had now married and that he would pay Mary 170 pounds of tobacco yearly for the remainder of her life. ^[3]
