Found this in Vol. 1, Pg. 144 of the Journal of Johannes Schwalm Assoc.-- "Life & Hard Times of Johann Daniel Bopp".
Barbara Dumler Bockel & Jacob B. lived in the old town "Kessel Gasse" next to Hohann Martin Hinn. Jacob B. died June 14, 1712-estate Juden Strasse. When Germany took over Alsace the town was called Ribbeauville. When the French had Alsace the town was called Ribbeauville, as it is today. This was Robisfuerer's town. His castle is directly above the town on the berg.
The Bopp name is also closely associated with 'Popp' name.
