Rosalinda Borders Roe Obituary - Calhoun Times Dated: November 20, 1930

On the 23rd of August, 1930, God, in His infinite wisdom was pleased to send his death angel into the home of A. T. Roe to accompany his dear companion and our mother from her bed of intense pain to her eternal bliss of paradise. Truly her sun has gone down, but the afterglow will linger with us for years and time to come, and thank God, her sun has risen on the other shore. When we think of her, we find ourselves unconsciously humming, "There's a land fairer than day."

She was a member of Mt. Pleasant church. She gave her heart to God early in life and lived an upright Christian life until the time of her death. She numbered her friends by her acquaintances. We listen in vain for her sweet, cheerful voice, but it has been hushed to us forever.

She leaves a husband and seven children, R. Roe, E. Roe, and John Roe, of Calhoun; Mrs. S. A. Stokes, of Benton, Tenn; Mrs. J. I. Matthews, of Marietta; Mrs. W. C. Knight, of Calhoun and Miss Rosser Roe, of home. Her body was laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant cemetery, Rev. Clark conducting the funeral services. All earthly sorrows now are over and she waits for us again, for she whispered as she entered, "leave the pearly gates afar."
