Biography

c. 1617 Hon Audrey Boteler was the sister and coheiress of William Boteler, 2nd Baron Boteler of Brantfield, and 1st dau. of John [Boteler], 1st Baron Boteler of Brantfield, by his wife Elizabeth Villiers, half-sister of George [Villiers], 1st Duke of Buckingham, and 1st dau. by his first wife of Sir George Villiers, of Brokesby, co. Leicester. She m. (1) Sir Francis Anderson; d. 16 Sep 1652 and (2) c. 1617 Francis Leigh, 1st Earl of Chichester.

Children of Audrey Boteler and Francis Leigh:

1. Lady Elizabeth Leigh (dspms. aft. 14 Jun 1654), mar. c. 24 Apr 1642 as his second wife Thomas [Wriothesley], 4th Earl of Southampton, and had issue.
2. Lady Mary Leigh (d. 7 Jul 1671; bur. at Brantfield, co. Herford), mar. bef. 1652 as his first wife her first cousin once removed George [Villiers], 4th Viscount Grandison, and had issue.
