Nancy Bothwell was born on 3 September 1843 in Dromara, County Down, Ireland. She was the daughter of Alexander Bothwell and Elizabeth Rodgers. ^[1] She was also known as "Agnes" (a common nickname for those named Nancy), according to birth records for her children.

Marriage
Nancy, daughter of Alex. Bothwell, married James Harris on 21 July 1866 in Ballynahinch, Downpatrick. ^[2]
